If you encounter difficulties in using NAVX services, please excuse us. In order to help us resolve these difficulties, we’d like to go over a few important points concerning compatibility with our services:
You most use
- A GPS that is compatible with our services (Mobile Speed Cams, Fuel Price, Fixed Speed Cams). To check the compatibility of your GPS, click here
- Your computer has to be a PC (not a Mac)
- You have to run a Windows operating system (98, NT, 2000, XP)
If all this is correct, here is a series of questions to allow you to troubleshoot the problem.
- Did you download the NAVX synchronization manager*? If not, go back to www.navx.com, log on, and download it from the "Manage My Account" tab, and then run the installation.
- Did you install the NAVX synchronization* software? If not, install it now.
- If the NAVX synchronization* software is installed, you should see a gray or orange N in your system tray. If not, the installation was not completed. Uninstall the program, get connected to www.navx.com, and re-install the program from the "Manage My Account" tab.
- Is the N orange when you connect your GPS to your PC? If not, the software still has not been successfully installed. Uninstall the program and go back to www.navx.com, get connected and re-install the program from the "Manage My Account" tab.
- If these four steps do not fix the problem, check to make sure your GPS’ memory is not used up, and if you have a memory card, that it is not prevented from writing (there has to be at least 5 MB available). If necessary, clear some space on your hard drive.
- If the problem still occurs, and as long as the synchronization* software seems correctly installed, and enough memory is available, contact us at contact@navx.com and our technical team will help you solve the problem.
*Manager or synchronization software: exclusively compatible with Tom Tom GPS systems, intended for computers running Windows 2000/XP/Vista.
